What We Do

We focus on building beautiful, high-end custom homes for individuals or families. It's our goal to be among the very best custom builders in the metro Atlanta area (or anywhere!), and in order to do that we must consistently improve and satisfy our customers.

Although we're willing to work with any style, our homes are usually built in the traditional, old-world European style. Our floor plans are spacious and our trim, cabinetry and finish work superb. Customers know our homes for their impeccable craftsmanship. We make our best effort to build any home almost anywhere and it will be completed on time, within budget and of extremely high quality. With over 30 years' experience backing us and many satisfied customers, our efforts usually prove successful.

Our efforts for perfection in our work are not limited to just the inside of our homes. We hire professional landscapers to help set your home apart from the rest. Custom landscape architecture combined with our efforts to preserve existing trees and other vegetation mean your future home has lots of curb appeal, besides being an environmentally conscious building project.

Barry Holder personally supervises each project, helping his customers along through the building process and working side-by-side with his contractors.

A Brief History of Barry Holder & Associates

Barry Holder has always enjoyed creating. As a child, he often checked how-to books out of the library that taught various building projects, and he would build them. His fascination with and love for building and woodwork lives strong even today. A Cobb Native, he graduated from Marietta High School and later attended Southern Tech.

He worked as a contractor from 1973 to 1979 and began his career as a professional builder in 1979. He's worked as a builder since then. He started out building spec homes, often with his wife as his only help. As his company has grown and learned, his work has kept a very high level of quality.

He has served on the Atlanta Board of Directors for two terms.

Our work has been featured in several respected real estate magazines and local publications, including Real Estate Saturday.

We focus on the western Marietta area, but we've been involved in many metro Atlanta building projects, including Lost Creek, Oakleigh, Highland Point, Saddlebrook Farms, Seven Hills, and Bentwater. We have also developed a successful community in St. George Island, Florida.

About Barry Holder

Barry holds his family in a high position in his life, being a rabid supporter of his daughter Hillary's soccer career and his son as a Marine and Kennesaw State University student. He and his wife Susan live in Oakleigh, a community Barry helped build.

He served on the Atlanta Board of Directors for two terms (from 1988 to 1992) and was named Cobb Builder of the Year twice.

His motivation to do what he does best: happy customers. “Happy clients,” Barry says, “whether they're happy as we're building for them when we run into years later, make you try harder.”
